Douchey owners aside, if they made a GT car, could it finish a WEC race with no issues, fuel consumption? Curious idea. I always heard they didn’t handle particularly well and would probably overheat.

It’s a heavy beast but the drivetrain and acres of tire give it crazy grip. Knock 1200 pounds off of it and it would be insane on a track. Remember it was overengineered to not just do 270mph, but also pull like a freight train from any speed, in any condition, with no special care or prep, so I bet a lighter version would turn consistent laps all day.

The Bentley Continental GT3 exists, so why the hell not!?!?

(I’d love to see the look on a McLaren aerodynamic engineers face every time a Conti GT3 passes a 650S GT3)

If they can make the Bentley Continental into a successful competitor, why not the Veyron? Lose a couple of turbos and the front wheel drive, use some tiny restrictors, reduce the tire size, and see what happens.

It could work if the AWD system was removed for a RWD only configuration to ditch some weight and fall in line with current GT regulations. Also remove the turbos and intercoolers for performance balancing and further reduce weight. If it could be done to the EB110 for LeMans, then the Veryon should at least get one shot at it!

Yeah I think they could rework some stuff. It would be fun to see. I love EB110s, that and the Maserati MC12 are my favorite exotics.
